Tuesday – Fine and clear
Went again to L.’s in Ito as Mr. Toda’s representative. Arrived at 7:00 pm. A cold, windy evening. I left his home at 9:00 and stayed at the M. Inn. A good and quiet inn. Took a hot-spring bath and read Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis until nearly 12:00.
Physically overtired. Troubled that I cannot make my body respond as I want it to.
My first experience staying alone at an inn. Paid ¥430 altogether.
